Salvation Army of Lebanon Kicks Off Red Kettle Campaign

Lebanon Mayor Sherry Capello join Lt. Ivonne Rodriguez to kick off 2021 Red Kettle Campaign at Lebanon Farmers Market

The Salvation Army of Lebanon began its 2021 Red Kettle Collection Saturday with a big kickoff at the Lebanon Farmers Market and as the holiday season progresses, shoppers will see and hear the bell ringers at sites throughout the county.

Lt. Ivonne Rodriguez tells the Lebanon Valley Daily News that in addition to the farmers market, bell ringers will be at both Walmart locations in the county, Hobby Lobby and Boscov’s at the Lebanon Valley Mall, and at several of the Redner’s Markets in the area.

During the week the bell ringers are actually paid employees of the Salvation Army. Lt. Rodriguez says they’re looking to hire:

On Saturdays, it’s usually volunteers ringing the bell at many of their locations and they still need more to offer their bell-ringing services.

If you encounter a red kettle but don’t have any cash or coins to drop in, it’s not a problem; they’ve got you covered.

Donors can just scan their QR code and make a donation with either Apple Pay or Google Pay:

Anyone interested in either a paid bell ringer position or a volunteer shift is encourage to contact the Salvation Army at 717-273-2655, or stop by their headquarters at 1031 Guilford Street,
