Retired Marine Col. Frank Ryan Outraged Over Afghanistan Withdrawal

The chaos and violence seen in Afghanistan as the evacuation of American citizens and Afghan allies moves along is causing a lot of distress for veterans, especially those who served during the Vietnam War and witnessed the 1975 Fall of Saigon and the messy extraction of the Vietnamese who had helped the U.S. during that conflict.

One of them is 101st District State Representative Frank Ryan, a retired Marine Corps Colonel who was serving in Vietnam at the time.

He says the Biden Administration has so badly bungled this withdrawal that it would be unconscionable to leave by tomorrow’s deadline:

Representative Ryan says the world is watching what we do… and we must do the right thing and protect our citizens and our allies.
