Lebanon County residents showed well in the opening weekend of competition at the 2022 Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg.

Not only did local livestock produce blue ribbons, so did local beer!

As for the animals, Aaron Martin of Annville took home the Best in Show in the farm show rabbit contest, held last Friday.

Dana Lape scored blue ribbons in the poultry show, with the grand champion waterfowl and champion bantam duck, and the champion single comb clean-legged bantam.

Gavin Molnar showed the reserve champion market lamb and champion hampshire lamb.

Blayne Heisey showed the champion crossbred market lamb.

As for the beer, Mount Gretna Craft Brewery celebrated two 1st place blue ribbons, for their “Solera” barrel-aged beer and their “Hemp Hemp Hooray!” beer, which won in the fruit/herb/vegetable beer category.
