Local Dems Cry Foul in Cornwall Mayor’s Race

Lebanon County Democrats have raised an objection in the contested race for Mayor of Cornwall Borough, between Republican Incumbent Mark Thomas and Democratic Party challenger Cavi Miller.

Chairman Dan Sidelnick tells the Lebanon Valley Daily News that Thomas has accepted nearly a thousand dollars from an unregistered political committee called “Four 4 Cornwall.”

He says the group has been around since the spring but they haven’t registered with the state as a political committee:

He said Mark Thomas could have reported the contribution on his own campaign finance reports but he hasn’t filed any as of last Friday, which was the deadline for the most recent reporting period.

Sidelnick has sent a request for investigation to the State Attorney General’s office, because they handle these kinds of investigations:

We reached out to Mark Thomas this morning for comment and are awaiting his reply.
