The second annual Lebanon’s Got Pride Festival takes place this Sunday, June 12th in downtown Lebanon, celebrating the community’s LGBTQ+ community.

It’s organized by Lebanon photographer and artist, Scott Church and one of his employees, Reese Sweigart, who manages “The Church” art gallery and live entertainment venue on the lower level of Church’s photography studio at 39 South 8th Street.

Speaking recently on WLBR’s Talk of the Town, Sweigart said she’s attended Pride Festivals in Reading, Lancaster and Harrisburg for the past 15 years, but only thought about starting one in Lebanon last year after a friend reached out, trying to find a new location to host their monthly drag shows in the city:

For Church, organizing a Pride Festival in Lebanon is not about glorifying any particular lifestyle; it’s about being a welcoming community to all:

The Lebanon’s Got Pride Festival runs this Sunday from 2 to 7:30pm on South 8th Street between Cumberland and Chestnut Streets. It’s free and open to all.
