A recent, multi-person medical emergency at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility was handled successfully through the collective efforts of staff at the lockup.

Warden Tina Litz shared details of the December 23rd incident during Wednesday’s prison board meeting:

Warden Litz asked county commissioners to acknowledge each staffer who participated in the medical emergency with a letter of commendation, which Commissioner Jo Ellen Litz was eager to oblige:

In all, eight people on the primecare medical staff, 20 members of the correctional staff and four members of prison administration will be receiving the letters of commendation.

The original incident that led to the medical emergencies will be investigated and pursued by Pennsylvania State Police.
