The Access Control Point Main Gate currently under construction along Fisher Avenue near the intersection of Biddle Road at Fort Indiantown Gap is heading into the next major phase of its development.
Speaking Wednesday on WLBR’s Talk of the Town Newsmaker segment, Lt. Col. Andy O’Connor, Acting Garrison Commander, said the planned closure of Fisher Avenue is fast approaching:
How will this road closure impact motorists who travel on Fisher Avenue around the Gap?
O’Connor said Fisher Avenue will reopen once the gate house and all associated construction is completed. Currently, that’s scheduled for March of 2023.
At that point, work will begin on a second Access Control Point, known as the East Gate, to be built at Fisher Avenue near the intersection with Quartermaster Road.
