A Lebanon County man won’t be getting anywhere near children for a very long time to come following his sentencing yesterday in Lebanon County’s Court of Common Pleas.

55-year old Scott Thomas, formerly of Lilac Lane in North Cornwall Township, was sentenced yesterday by Judge Bradford Charles to decades in state prison for the sexual assault of female foster children that he and his wife cared for on behalf of Lebanon County Children and Youth Services.

District Attorney Pier Hess Graf said prior to his arrest in May of 2020, police seized Thomas’s electronic devices. A forensic investigation revealed 532 images and one video of explicit child pornography.

During sentencing, D.A. Graf noted that the images possessed and viewed by Thomas were the most vulgar and disgusting she had ever witnessed in all her years prosecuting child molesters.

Thomas entered a “no contest” plea in February. He was also declared a sexually violent predator and will be registered as a lifelong Megan’s Law Offender due to his charges.
