Lebanon County Commissioners displayed a mix of reactions to the presentation of the 2022 county budget yesterday during their meeting.
Chairman Commissioner Bob Phillips said imposing a tax increase was bitter, but necessary pill to swallow:
Vice Chairman Bill Ames was equally unsettle:
Commissioner Jo Ellen Litz focused on the million dollar increase in healthcare premiums:
Among other things, Litz said hospitalizations related to Covid-19 are very costly and may be part of the reason there’s such a huge increase in healthcare costs.
All three commissioners said they will support the budget when it comes up for a final vote on December 23rd.
