Sgt. Steve Bord of the Lebanon Police Department was the featured vocalist at the Celebration of Life for slain Police Lt. William Lebo, held at the Giant Center in Hershey on April 8th.

The service lasted for 90 minutes and also included a police honor guard escorting Lebo’s flag-draped casket, as they did last Saturday when he was returned to Lebanon from Allentown, where his autopsy took place.

His wife Lora eulogized him in a touching tribute, speaking about his love of family, classic cars and Sunday afternoons filled with smooth jazz and good food:

Also paying tribute was Sgt. Eric Sims, who was mentored by Lebo and became a close, personal friend. He said the 40-year career police officer never went out in public without his police hat on and wanted others to do the same:

Sgt. Sims concluded by repeating one of Lebo’s favorite sayings, “You’re going places.”

Lt. William Lebo was 63 years old. He was set to retire from the Lebanon Police Department on May 1st.
