Wednesday morning, Lebanon County Judge Samuel “Gus” Kline approved the formal merger of the Union Hose Company of Annville and Cleona Fire Company.

The two volunteer fire companies have been known for almost a decade as the Annville-Cleona Fire District, but from here on out they’ll run as the Annville-Cleona Fire Department:

Union Hose Fire Chief Phillip Snavely tells the Lebanon Valley Daily News that the two companies will also combine all their assets, banks accounts and apparatus.

As for leadership of this new fire department, Chief Snavely will remain as Chief, with Cleona Fire President Andrew Raudensky becoming the administrative leader:

The combined Annville-Cleona Fire Department will have approximately 50 members and will serve as the primary fire and rescue department for Annville Township, Cleona Borough, and much of South Annville Township.
