Capello Highlights 2021, Sets Agenda for 2022

Lebanon Mayor Sherry Capello highlights City accomplishments despite Covid pandemic.

When Mayor Sherry Capello was sworn-in to her 4th consecutive term Monday morning, she became the longest-tenured mayor in the city of Lebanon’s history.

Afterward, she delivered a short “State of the City” address, saying despite the promise of 2021 delivering us from the Coronavirus pandemic, it turned out to be another year of dealing with the financial ravages that Covid has left on many in our area:

She said the city provided resources to address these issues while continuing to keep an eye on the projects that will further advance the quality of life in Lebanon:

Looking ahead this year, Mayor Capello said the city will be undertaking a streetscape project along Cumberland Street downtown, will continue the resurfacing program of the major city streets with 10th Street planned for this year, and finishing the City Hall renovation work on the former HACC building at 7th and Cumberland Street, in order to open by summer.
